About

Porter Hawkes is a freelance cinematographer based in Northern Utah and the owner of Hawkstra, a boutique production company specializing in commercial and corporate filmmaking.

His passion for filmmaking started early, creating ski edits on GoPros and iPhones in middle school. That passion for filmmaking and creating at a young age turned into a side hustle during college and eventually became an unexpected career path behind the camera, allowing Porter to capture and create memories doing the things he has always loved.

Outside of filmmaking, he spends his time in the outdoors. He is an avid mountain bike racer, enjoys camping with his wife Kylee, fly fishing, working on his Toyota 4Runner, spending time with family, and building and flying FPV drones.
